Toronto: Toronto’s biggest Valentine extravaganza is coming up when five duet finalists get to perform in front of at least 500 people in Mississauga. In search of the next Dance Superstar Duo, TK Connections and San Souci present LOVE BIRDS 2016, a search for the Couple or Duet who will win the title and receive a grand cash prize of $1500 CAD.
Auditions are being held on December 19 when the competition will be judged at 2244 Drew Road, Unit #6 in Mississauga. Ten semi-finalists will be selected who will then upload their videos on YouTube on January 4, 2016. The top ten will then get the opportunity to create a buzz with their social media skills to boost votes. Five finalists will be selected through an online Viewers Choice Poll, who will then go on to compete for the coveted title on February 6, 2016 with the winning team awarded a cash prize and gifts. One of the top five finalists will also get the exclusive opportunity to work in a music video of an upcoming artist.
The finale will be judged by stalwarts from the Performing Arts industry including Puja Amin, founder of Sanskriti Arts Ensemble, Divya Gowda, founder of DK Bollywood Dance, Miss Sohni, Creative Director, Academy of Cre8ive Arts, Renee Delgado, Artistic Director and Co-Founder of United Salseros and Tushar Unadkat, CEO and Creative Director of Mukta Advertising and Founder and Executive Director of Nouveau iDEA
Organizers Tahir Khan, Tabi Moazzam, Ratika Sandhu and Sharan Kaur have the following advice to give to participants:
“Our attempt with Love Birds 2016 is to create the magic of love. Love is the most pious and beautiful feeling that exists in the world today. Love makes us do good things, be better human beings. Through this event, we hope to reinforce that feeling of love in every individual who is there, encouraging them to spread happiness and positivity throughout the world.”
The finale on February 6, 2016 itself promises to be exciting packed with emotional and powerful performances by renowned world artists including Vikas Khanna, Kate Todd, Shyamala Ram and the R&B United. The one of a kind dance competition will allow couples to express their passion, yearning and talent for the dance form through teamwork.
