BY RENU MEHTA, LAS VEGAS:
If you’re even a casual fan of Michael Jackson—or just someone who loves an unforgettable live experience—Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas is something special. From the first beat to the final bow, it’s a vibrant, emotional, and visually stunning tribute to the King of Pop.
What struck me most was how the show manages to feel both massive and intimate. The how is very well choreographed. In fact, the choreography is electric, the acrobatics are breathtaking, and the effects are next-level—but it’s the heart behind it all that really lands. The music is obviously fabulous. Every song is treated with care and creativity, breathing new life into tracks we’ve all heard countless times. Seeing MJ’s signature moves reimagined through Cirque’s lens was both nostalgic and thrilling. And the lifelike digital version of Michael Jackson brought the famous musician to life on stage, making believe he was there with us.

There’s something contagious about the energy in the room. People were clapping, singing, even getting emotional -it’s hard not to get swept up in it. It’s not just a show; it’s a full-body, full-soul experience.
That said, if you’re going in expecting a traditional Cirque show packed with nonstop acrobatics, you might be surprised by how much of it leans into dance and theatricality. The storyline also feels a bit loose at times. And yes, tickets are pricey—but honestly, it felt worth it.
An unofficial source told me the show took three years to build at an astronomical cost.
Michael Jackson ONE isn’t just a show—it’s a love letter. It celebrates everything that made MJ an icon while showcasing the sheer magic of live performance. If you’re in Vegas, do yourself a favor and go.
