NEW DELHI: At 60, Zeenat Aman, the sultry beauty who stole many a heart at her prime in the 1970s, is set to tie the knot again.
“Yes, I am planning to go that way again. I was dead against marriage after my children’s father (Mazhar Khan) passed away. The thought of it was dreadful. But our resolutions are nothing against God’s will,’’ the actress told Hindustan Times.
“I have met someone and he’s become a significant part of my life, but I don’t want to discuss it any further. He is from India, and we are planning to marry. I am in a much happier space today. I feel I am young again,’’ she said.
The heroine of such films as Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Satyam Shivam Sundram, and Insaaf Ka Tarazu said her two sons – Azaan (26) and Zahaan (23) – are thrilled by her decision. “They told me, ‘go unwind, and be happy,’’’ Zeenat said.
The actress was in a relationship with actor Sanjay Khan after the death of Mazhar Khan in 1998, and later had Zaheer as her partner.
But she said her relationship with Zaheer was over four years ago.
